William Dermont Payton II (Bill) entered the portals of Heaven on August 6, 2013 at 8:30 pm.
Bill was born on August 18, 1927 in Terre Haute to William Payton I and Edna Osborn Payton. He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, James C. Foster.
Bill graduated from Honey Creek High School in 1945, and received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Indiana State Teachers College (ISU) in 1950. He was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity. He later became a journeyman electrician as a member of IBEW, Local 725 of Terre Haute, serving as secretary for 25 years. He also had the opportunity to work in Saudi Arabia the summer of 1980. He and his wife graduated from Midwest Travel Academy in Indianapolis in 1983. Bill enjoyed working on his home, traveling and camping.
