William Dennis Spradlin, 73, Huntington, died at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Mr. Spradlin was born September 30, 1935, in Glasgow, Kentucky to Dennis and Lennie Dickerson Spradlin. His parents preceded him in death.
He married Marlene Page in Crawfordsville, Indiana on February 27, 1955. She survives in Huntington.
He was a 1953 graduate of Crawfordsville High School. Mr. Spradlin retired as the former owner of A & S Construction, worked as Manager of Carter Lumber Company and also worked at Juergens Hardware. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Additional survivors include a son: Greg Spradlin; a daughter: Dodie Spradlin, (Henry Fishbaugh) Lagro, Indiana; a grandson: Aaron Spradlin, Huntington; a granddaughter: Andrea Woolf and husband Mike, Estero, Florida; two great-grandchildren: Devon Woolf and Eldon Woolf, Estero, Florida.
