William Dean Foye, 90, of Middletown, passed away on Thursday, April 15th at Wadsworth Glen Health Care Center in Middletown. Born on May 2, 1919 in Middletown, he was the son of the late Dr. Wilbur G. and Evelyn (Ryder) Foye. Will lived in Middletown all of his life and was a graduate of Wesleyan University and of Syracuse University School of Architecture. He worked in Hartford as an architect. He was a long time member of the Middletown Society of Friends and was an active volunteer in several community organizations. He was a devoted, loving uncle, and a loyal friend to many. He was a peace loving, kind, and generous person, who loved photography, nature, and world travel. Will is survived by his nephew, Dr. Howard R. Foye, Jr. (Pamela) of Rochester, NY and five nieces, Elizabeth Santo (Yasushi) of Nara Japan, Margaret Schalit (Robert) of Schenectady, NY, Susan Smith (Curtis) of Colorado Springs, CO, Janet Chappell (Leon) of Colorado Springs, CO and Louisa Foye of Cincinnati, OH. He was predeceased by his brother, Rev. Howard R. Foye of Saratoga Springs, NY.
