William Darl “Junior” Johnson, Jr., age 63, of Lincoln Street, Grafton, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at United Hospital Center. He was born in Grafton, August 25, 1950, a son of the late William D. Johnson, Sr., and Naoma Geraldine “Gerry” (Moore) Johnson Matlick, who survives, of Grafton. His fiancé, Ann Nutter, of Grafton also survives. Junior was a loving son, father and grandfather; he always wore a smile on his face, and never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was a 1968 graduate of Grafton High School, he was employed at PCA, formerly known as the box factory, for 32 years until their closing. He then worked at Ruskin Manufacturing until recently. He enjoyed gardening, crafts and making soap. In addition to his mother and fiancé’ he is survived by: his children, Janice Lorraine Poling, of Grafton, Jennifer Jayne Johnson and companion Lonnie Frey, of Grafton, Billie Jo Woods and husband James, of Thornton, Sandi Diane Lutrell and husband David, of Philippi, Christopher Shaffer, of Grafton; an adopted daughter, Lisa Dunn and husband Amos, of Clarksburg; his grandchildren, Tosha Sayers, of Bridgeport, Tyler Poling, of Grafton, Joseph Strader, of Sistersville, Bryan Johnson, of Grafton, Logan Woods, of Thornton, Brittany Woods, of Thornton, Kaitlin Jenkins, and Camry Jenkins, both of Buckhannon; great grandchildren, Raigen, Jocelyn, Tyler, and Aaron Sayers; three brothers, Frank Hupp, of Morgantown, David Johnson and wife Sherry, and Henry Johnson and wife Cathy, all of Grafton; one sister Heather Conrad, of Nashville, TN; and many nieces and nephews.
