Muncie – William D. “Bill” Brown, 57, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at his residence following an extended illness.
Bill was born in Muncie on March 25, 1954, the son of Joseph and Virginia (Haun) Brown, and was a 1972 graduate of Wapahani High School. He received his Associates Degree in Business Management from Ball State University in 1994.
Mr. Brown was a Supervisor in student housing with Ball State University for over 20 years. He was a member of Full Gospel Temple. Bill was an avid fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a strong family man, and he loved his dogs Chewey and Reggie.
Survivors include his father; his wife of 37 years, Clara J. Brown, Muncie; a son, David Campbell, (wife-Ashley), DeRidder Louisiana; a daughter, Clara L. Brown, Muncie; three brothers, Harold Brown, (wife-Paulette), Muncie, Kenneth Brown, (wife-Carolyn), Selma, and Wade Brown, Muncie; four sisters, Linda Brown, Wawaka, Betty Morganthaler, (husband-Mike), Wawaka, Leca Arnold, (husband-Jerry), Livonia, Michigan, and Kathy Everetts, Chromwell; two granddaughters, Georgia Grace Haneline, DeRidder, Louisiana, and Chloe Campbell, DeRidder, Louisiana; his mother-in-law, Clarabell Reffitt, Muncie; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his mother; a sister, Mary Lou Brown; and his father-in-law, James A Reffitt.
