William H. Carpenter III, age 59, longtime resident of Milford and beloved husband of Sheryl Carpenter, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Son of the late William and Marie Carpenter, he was born on December 7, 1953 in New Haven. Owner of two businesses in Milford, Carp Energy and Carp Building Structures, Inc., he was an avid participant in recreational sports within the city, particularly softball and football. He was an enthusiastic sponsor of recreational sports and greatly enjoyed singing karaoke. Later on, he became a dedicated freshwater bass fisherman.
In addition to his wife, Sheryl, he is survived by two daughters, Casey and Alisabeth, and a son, Michael Suppe. William is also survived by his older brother, Anthony “Chip” Carpenter and his wife Diane Thompson of Sandy Hook.
