William C. Roehm 10/29/1939 – 05/17/2016 – 79 years old

“Bill” is survived by his wife, Verna Roehm of Waxhaw NC; his sons, William C. Roehm II and his wife, Denice of Bridgeport NY, and Daniel H Roehm of Rockwell NC; daughters, Jean M Fisher of Matthews NC, Heidi Carranza and Alberto of Tega Cay, SC, and Leslie Risher and husband, David of Waxhaw, NC; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Richard Roehm of Syracuse NY, Terry Roehm of Liverpool, NY; sisters, Donna Young of Brewerton NY, and Debbie Hoplock of Mattydale NY; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. and Matilda Violetta Beam Roehm, and his brother, Thomas Roehm.
Bill graduated from North Syracuse High school in 1955, served in the Navy as a “Sea Bee”, and also was a 32 Mason. He served as a councilman for the town of Cicero NY, leading to his service as police commissioner also of Cicero NY. He was an original member of the Cicero Chamber of commerce, and the South Bay Snowmobile Club. Bill was very active in service to the local Republican Party.
He was the owner/ operator of Roehm Heating &Cooling, a long running family business. His hobbies and interests included snowmobiling, boating, fishing, and skilled woodworking. Bill was an animal lover with a gentle heart. He would care for any animal hurt or suffering.
He will be truly missed by his family and friends.
