William Carl “Bill” Blackstock, 73, of Arthurdale, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday evening, December 10, 2013, at Monongalia General Hospital with family by his side. Bill was born on January 3, 1940, in Washington, D.C.; a son to the late Kathleen Virginia Silcott and stepson to the late William Silcott. Bill was employed at Jenmar Corporation in Reedsville for thirty years until retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and woodworking; however, his greatest passion in life was spending time with his family. He was a member of the Masontown Church of the Nazarene. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Bill is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Diana (Knight) Blackstock; two sons: Jim Blackstock and wife Sue; and Woodrow “Woody” Sigley and wife Holly Jo; three daughters: Gayle Farrio and husband Kevin; Karla Tasker and husband Terry; and his little angel, Katlin Blackstock, age 9, still living at home; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren In addition to his mother and stepfather, he was preceded in death by a son, John Blackstock; and infant grandson, John Blackstock, Jr. Mr.
