William A. Butch Buell, 67, Daleville, left this life on April 25, 2009. He was born April 25, 1942 in Shelbyville, IN, and resided in Daleville. He retired from Guide in 1996. He had also worked at Sun Valley Speedway, and was a vendor at Great American Market in Daleville.
He was a member of the United States Judo Association. He was a black belt in Judo, which he taught and coached along side his son John. He was married in 1962 to Brenda Barnes, they were the parents of two children, and over 50 foster children. He loved life and lived it to the fullest.
Some of his fondest memories were on the farm with Grandma Hazel and Grandpa Carl Buell, so in 1988 he bought his farm to give memories to his children and grandchildren.
He is survived and cherished by his wife Brenda Barnes Buell; Son John Kathie Buell of Middletown; daughter Carol Teddy Vires of Pendleton. Grandchildren: Amanda Buell, Laura Chappell, Tim Chappell, Zack and Nathan Vires. Brother John Betty Farmer of Anderson; Sisters: Susan Mike Johnson of Anderson, Joyce Grant of Michigan. Mother-in-law; Inez Barnes, Brothers-in-law: Bill Melissa Barnes, John Barnes, Sister-in-laws: Joannie Barnes, Linda Curt Belcher.
He was very close to two nieces, April Finch Baby Bean, and Becca Hollowell. Several other nieces and nephews survive. He was preceded by his parents: John and Frances Burns Buell; Grandparents, his father-in-law and a nephew, Tim Rose.
