William Lonnie “Billy” Smith, age 60, of Resaca, Georgia passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017, after a courageous battle with ALS.
He was born on April 13, 1957. Billy was preceded in death by his son, Jacob Adam Smith; mother, Ruby Hammond, father, Wilson Cargal Smith; and stepmother, Kathrine Smith. He is survived by his wife, Terri Smith of Resaca; brother and sister in law, Steve and Kathy Smith of Rocky Face; sisters and brother in law, Linda Bennett of Calhoun, Marlene Underhill of Calhoun, Jane and William (Oogie) Roberts of Dalton; grandson, Caleb Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
