Ocala- William “Bill” King, 70, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2021, at his residence in Ocala, FL with his family by his side. He was born into this life on August 20, 1950, in Oceanside, Long Island, NY and was the son to the late, Ronald and Joan(Draper) King.
Bill grew up in Long Island, NY and attended Suffolk County Community College where he obtained his degree in Criminal Justice. In 1972, Bill moved to Ocala, FL and worked for the Ocala Police Department for thirty years retiring as a Lieutenant. He later worked with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office as a Bailiff for several years.
He is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Patsy King, Ocala, FL; his two sons, Michael C. King, NC and Mark Kelly (Kara), Ocala, FL; his daughter, Michelle Partin (Fred), Ocala, FL; his brother, Dan King (Norma), NY; his three sisters, Lois Hnizdo (Frank), NY, Shirley Cheon (Anderson), TN, Cindy Sellars (Sonny) NC; his grandchildren, Will, Emma, Ryan, Abby, Charlie, Ethan and Sara.
