William “Bill” Henry Meyers, 90, of New Carlisle, passed away on Friday January 26, 2018 in his home with Hospice Care. He was born on March 10, 1927, in LaPorte County, to the late Henry W. and Luella Dell (Boles) Meyers. Bill graduated from Rolling Prairie High School in 1945. On October 2, 1948 he married Joann M. Kegebein, who survives. Also surviving are his three daughters, Virginia M. “Ginny” Meyers (F. W. Gaw) of Salisbury, MD, Linda Meyers Morrissey (John C. Morrissey) of Lee’s Summit, MO and Kathy S. Meyers of AZ; two sons, Gene A. Meyers (Lari-Jo Richter) of Worth, IL and Henry W. Meyers (Pamela S. Norris) of New Carlisle; a granddaughter, Kate E. Meyers of Louisville, KY; a brother Jack R. Meyers (Judy M. Sweder) of Three Oaks, MI; Sisters-In-Law Mary Lou Gearheart Bladecki and Irma Zebell Meyers and 12 nieces and 5 nephews. He was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Jessica Witzke, Adrienne Witzke and Andrew Meyers; a sister, Frances (John Faor) and two brothers, Lee and Max Meyers. Mr. Meyers was the Owner/Operator of New Carlisle Iron. As a sportsman he enjoyed the out of doors. As a couple, they traveled in retirement.
