William "Bill" Francis Wright

 William (Bill) Francis Wright, 88, of Nampa, passed away peacefully at home with his wife and son at his side. Bill was born to Pearl and Emma Wright of Blackwell, Oklahoma on December 22, 1923 the youngest of 9 children. Bill moved with his family to Idaho when he was 15 years old. Following High School Bill joined the United States Army. While in the Military he was stationed in England where he met Marion Walker at a dance and married her June 23, 1944. Their first son (Kenneth Wright) was born in England. Bill was sent home and 18 months later Marion and their son came to America. He worked for the City of Nampa for 30 years in the Street Department as Machine Operator. Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family almost every weekend during the summer and fall. Bill battled dementia for many years. Bill is survived his wife Marion Wright, son Kenneth (Helen) Wright, 3 grandchildren Deborah Bishop (Kyle), Tammy Wright, Windy (Tom) Rotarious, 4 great grandchildren Amber Bishop, Jason Bishop, Cassidy Wright, Nichelle Rotarious, a brother Richard “Dick” (Rosi) Wright and sister Katherine (Chester) Hargrave, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Melvin Lee Wright, his parents Pearl and Emma Wright, along with siblings Marvin (Alice) Wright, Alve (Kate) Wright, Nellie (Ralph) Bury, Jessie (Jim) Harmony, Lawrence “Shorty” (Naiomi) Wright, Edna (Elbie) Greene. The family would like to give a special thanks to Horizon Hospice for loving care.
