William (Bill) Donald Peterson, II, 78, passed away Friday Feb. 19, 2016. Bill was born in Logan, Utah to William Donald Peterson and Fawn Stewart Anderson and grew up in Logan, Fillmore, and Holladay. He graduated from Olympus High School and received both his B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah.
All his adult life, Bill engineered everything from human organ shipment containers, to specialized canisters for storing spent nuclear fuel rods. He was a friend to many, always finding ways to help those in need. He loved spending time at Columbus South Salt Lake Senior Center and any chance for social dancing, especially west coast swing. His kids will always remember his sense of humor, passion for fine cuisine, and undying spirit of adventure.
He was preceded in death by both his parents and is survived by his siblings Paul Earl (Marcia), Bonnie Mae (Bill Athas), and Donna Ruth; his children, Millie Louise (George Nikopoulos), Ginny Ann (Sean Tuite), Angela Jo (Dan Jorgensen), William Donald III (Deborah Keddington), Margaret Jean (Jeremy FiveCrows), David Joseph (Bobbie Slade); and thirteen beautiful grandchildren.
