“Together Forever”

William “Bill’ Clyde Greaves, 92, our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on February 23, 2022 in North Ogden, Utah. He was born April 11, 1929 in Grace, Idaho to John Card Greaves and Mary Jane Pendleton.

Bill attended and graduated from Grace High School. He married Doris Ann Walker on August 12, 1955 in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple on April 9, 2009. They enjoyed 64 years together. He is a current member of the North Ogden 17th Ward but was a long-time member of the North Ogden 9th Ward. Bill worked for the IRS and retired after 36 years of distinguished service.

Bill always wore his favorite cologne and was always immaculate with his clothes and hair. He was funny and tough and grumpy around the edges, but with a big soft heart! He enjoyed golfing, bowling, sports, Mickey Mouse memorabilia and taking care of the pool. Bill and Doris were Ogden City Bowling Champions with Bob and LaWanna (Lou) Shurtliff. Bill and Doris loved family get togethers at their swimming pool, Sunday family dinners and taking trips together.

Bill is survived by his children Jay (Melanie) Greaves, Paul (Julie) Greaves, Judie (John) Parsons, Shirlie (David) Wilson; 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren and his sister Delpha Allen. He is preceded in death by his wife Doris; parents; siblings Howard, Vera, Vella, Phyllis, Ray, Clarice, and granddaughter Abigail.

The family would like to thank Kristi, Amy, Thomas and Tupu from A-Plus Hospice for the kind and compassionate care they gave to Bill.

Mom passed away March 15, 2020 during COVID.
