William “Bill” A’Hern of Lakewood passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019 at Lutheran Medical Center.
He was the third baby born in Denver on January 1, 1928, the son of Neal and Nan (Horan) A’Hern who were a pioneer family of Colorado. One of Bill’s favorite memories was traveling to Ireland at the age of 9 with his mother and brother to spend the summer with their Irish relatives. Bill worked to pay his tuition in order to attend Regis High School. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army.
