William “Son” Bedwell, 78, of Ringgold died Thursday, December 14, 2006. A lifelong resident of North Georgia, he was the son of the late William and Dorothy Burkhart Bedwell. Mr. Bedwell was a Baptist and a United States Navy veteran who loved everyone, all animals, and lived in order to make others laugh. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Bobbie Ramay and Dottie Alexander; and brothers, Harry, Hoss, and Freddie Bedwell. Survivors include his wife, Pamela Bedwell; daughter, Kimberly Bedwell, both of Ringgold; sons, William (Butch) Bedwell, Washington, D.C., Douglas Frank Bedwell, San Francisco, CA; grandchildren, Magen and Brett Bedwell; sisters, Tootsie Carroll, Hixson, Shirley Tallent, Nashville; brothers, Frank Bedwell, Sand Mountain, Ralph Bedwell, East Ridge, Eddie Bedwell, Ooltewah; several nieces and nephews.
