William A. Wade, 82, of Pendleton, passed away Monday, December 9, 2013, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born in Baxter Springs, KS on November 27, 1931, to the late Ralph E. and Ada Myrtle (Emerson) Wade.

He received his Bachelors’s and Master’s degrees from Pittsburgh Teachers College in Kansas and His Ed.D. from Northern Illinois University – DeKalb and had a long career in elementary education in both Kenosha, WI and Prairie Village, KS. William served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion.

Mr. Wade is survived by son Michael E. Wade of Lenexa, KS; daughter Jennie M. Wade of Pendleton; grandchildren: Andrew M. Wade; Terence J. Wade; Jamey L. Rodriguez; Daniel W. Wade; Anthony M. Wade and Theresa M. Wade; seven great-grandchildren; brother Burton Wade of Linwood, KS; and sister Marlene (Richard) Hughey of Washington, NJ.

He was preceded in death by his wife Florence M. Wade in 2012; and brother Ralph M. Wade.
