William A. "Bill" Bryce

William A. “Bill” Bryce passed away on September 22, 2016 at the age of 73. Bill was an avid fisherman and a friend to all who knew him. He cherished his time on the golf course, camping in the Jemez wilderness, and helping friends build and perfect their cabins in the woods. Bill was a native Albuquerque resident born on April 3, 1943 and graduated from Highland High School in 1961. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1966 and was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity while on campus. He served in the U.S. Army for 3 years and was honorably discharged in 1969. Bill was well known in the Albuquerque business community through his over 25 years of service as a marketing representative for IBM. He was proud to have sold the first Automated Teller Machine in the State of New Mexico among many other business accomplishments. Bill is survived by his son, Robert “Bob” Bryce and his wife Amy of Katy, TX; his daughter, Melinda “Mindy” Korock and her husband Steve of Kingwood, TX; his brother, James C. Bryce of Denton, TX; his sister, Betty Horner and her husband Byron of Saratoga, CA; and his grandchildren, Ethan, Tyler, Barron, Avery, and Austin. He was preceded in death by his parents, A.H. “Chili” and Winnie Bryce.
