Willard R. McCallister, Sr., 77, of East Rochester, passed away at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, March 29, 2022. He was born to the late Clyde and Hazel (Blankenship) McCallister on May 18, 1944 in Garretts Bend, WV.
Willard was a beloved and amazing husband, dad, and grandpa. He took great pride in gardening, hunting, and loved the great outdoors. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, who passed away March 10, 2014; his parents; and several brothers and sisters.
Left to cherish his memory are his adoring children, Willard R. McCallister, Jr. of Salem, Wanita (Travis Sr.) Bolton of East Rochester, Amanda (Brandon) Roberts, of Verdigris, OK, and Joseph McCallister of Salem; 13 grandchildren; sister, Barbara (Merle) Hoyle; and brother, Richard (Jean) McCallister.
