Willard Alfred Thrash, 101, of Ringgold better known to family and friends as “Buddy”, entered Heaven’s glory on Monday, September 19, 2016. Buddy was born to Ollie and George Thrash in Lake, Mississippi on August 17, 1915 and celebrated his 101st birthday August 17, 2016.
Buddy was a Composer, Musician, and Vocalist studying at Cadek Conservatory of Music in Chattanooga when he met the love of his life, Edna Chandler. They were married in 1937 and celebrated their 77th anniversary prior to her death in 2014.
Survivors include his son, Willard A. Thrash, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Patricia; grandson, Willard A. (Jill) Thrash III; great-grandson, Henry Thrash; great granddaughter, Adrianne (Josh) Thrash Cooper, of Maryland; great-great grandsons, Jaxson and Knox Cooper; sister, Maudean Dudley, of Mississippi and several nieces and nephews.
