….She was born February 12, 1929 in Neshoba County, MS to Edward David (E.D.) Thrash, and Pearl Remenial Thrash. The Thrash family moved to Hancock County in about 1940. Willadean married Isham Kimbell Lee June 15, 1946. They bought land on Anner Rd, and worked hard, keeping it up. Kimbell died May 10, 1973. Dean was only 44, and she kept the farm, and decided she wanted to continue what they had started. Dean worked hard on the farm, and enjoyed the cows, which was a lot of company to her. She taught herself how to drive the Tractor. She wasn’t afraid to tackle any job, whether great or worked other jobs, and kept up the farm as well. She worked a good many years at Carps Department Store, and she worked 20 years for the State of Mississippi, at the Welcome Center on I-59 near Picayune. She retired in 1999 from the Welcome Center. Dean stayed on the farm until she was 81, then she moved to Amory next door to her Son. She lived there about 4 years. Dean spent the last 1 year and 8 months at Countrywood Assisted Living until she passed was known for her independence, and doing things her way as long as she was was a member of Lee’s Chapel #2 Baptist Church in Leetown .Left to cherish her memory are her son, Arlis M. Lee and wife Purney; grandchildren, Stephen M. Lee and wife Laura, Tiffany A..will be family members and friends.
