Wilfred J. “Bill” Prevost, Jr., 85, of Lakeland, Florida passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015, at Highlands Lake Center in Lakeland due to a prolonged illness. Bill was born January 15, 1930, in Hackensack, New Jersey to Wilfred and Florence Prevost. He married his loving wife Carol on June 6, 1953, in Queens Village, New York
He is survived by his Wife, Carol Prevost of Lakeland, FL; Son, Richard Prevost of St. Albans, WV; Daughter, Diane McCallister of Lakeland, FL; Granddaughter, Kelly White of Fairview Heights, IL; Granddaughter, Elizabeth McCallister of Lakeland, FL and five great grandchildren.
Bill was a graduate of West Virginia State College; a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict; and a former employee of Union Carbide Corporation where he worked as a Senior System Analyst.
Bill enjoyed anything to do with Detroit Tiger baseball, fishing and the Civil War.
He was much loved and is greatly missed by his family who are resting in the sure knowledge that he is present with God in Heaven and that they will see him again one day.
