Wilfred G. “Wil” Douglas, 86, of Manchester, beloved husband of Joan (Rodger) Douglas, died early, Wednesday morning, January 27, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital with family at his side. Wil was born February 25, 1929 in Manchester, son of the late William & Marie (Forbes) Douglas, who came to this country from Northern Ireland in the early 1920’s. He attended local schools and was a 1947 Graduate of Manchester High School. Following high school he joined the National Guard. During the Korean Conflict his unit was federalized and sent to Germany.
