Wilbur Milton Eick, 86, of Durham, husband of Shirley (Dessureau) Eick, passed away on Thursday, May 13th at Middlesex Hospital. He was the son of the late Charles and Helen (Jancura) Eick. Wilbur was a veteran of WWII serving in USARMY. He was born and lived all of his life in Durham and was a builder, carpenter and craftsman, building several homes in Durham. He was Captain and secretary of Durham Volunteer Ambulance Corp. Wilbur enjoyed all sports, nature and loved building bird houses which were scattered all over his property. Besides his wife, he is survived by his brother, Russell A. Eick, Sr. of Durham; his two sisters, Alma Goree of Rayville, LA and Myrtle Leighton of Durham and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
