Wilbur E. Bundy, 85, of Spirit Lake passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Wilbur was born on September 6, 1936, to Alpha and Merle (McCann) Bundy in Spirit Lake. He attended Spirit Lake Community School. Wilbur was united in marriage to Gwen Duis on August 26, 1956, in Spirit Lake. Together they spent their days working on the family farm and raising their 4 children.
Wilbur devoted his life and took pride in what he loved doing most which was farming the land and raising livestock. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with family, playing cards, and watching sports on TV. During the last several winters they spent their time in Donna, Texas, attending old time country music jams, taking drives, and spending time with friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his children; daughter Robin (David) Kollasch of Spirit Lake; daughter Dawn Bundy of Dallas, TX; daughter Melanie Bundy of Sioux Falls, SD; son Kenneth (Roberta) Bundy of LeMars, IA; 6 grandchildren, Ryan (Dani) Kollasch, Michelle (Dave) Holmquist, Gregory (Tiffany) Kollasch, Michael (Penny) Segelke, Hannah Bundy, Holly Bundy, 10 great grandchildren, Lance Holmquist, Jaxon Holmquist, Addison Holmquist, Henry Holmquist, Bailey Kollasch, Austin Kollasch, Katelyn Kollasch, Kameron Kollasch, Dyllon Segelke, Summer Segelke, sister Rose Wheeler of Balaton, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Gwen, sister Alice Blom, and his brothers Elmer and Dean Bundy.
