Wesley Ray Scearce, age 94, of 41 Selma Ave. Danville died Wednesday August 29, 2012 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County, Reidsville, NC. She was born May 19, 1918 in Franklin County, VA to the late James Wesley Ray and the late Lura Ethel Gusler Ray. Mrs. Scearce was of the Christian faith. During her life she worked as a spinner for Dan River Mills Inc. and also worked at and retired from Corning Glass, Danville, VA. Mrs. Scearce is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by one daughter; Brenda Neva Scearce: two sisters Mary Harrison and Lana Johnson: three brothers; Glen Ray, Park Ray and Mark Ray.
