Bro. Wesley Namon Pinckney Sr., son of the late Sampson “Strongman” Pinckney and Martha Green-Pinckney, was born December 18, 1936 in Cross, S.C. He departed this earthly life on August 30, 2023 at Roper Berkeley after a brief illness.

Wesley, affectionately known as Pink, Namon, Crawdad, attended Berkeley County Schools. He worked various jobs, but retired from Georgia Pacific after many years of service. At an early age, he became a member of Jehovah AME Church where he attended Church School faithfully until his death. He was a member of the Steward Board, Senior Ushers, the Male Choir, and the Financial Committee. He was an active member of his community and served on the board for the Cross Community Center. He was also a member of Jehovah Lodge #351. His love for his cows, pigs, and chickens was unmatched.

Wesley was joined in Holy Matrimony to Annie Lee Major on August 8, 1957. To this union, two sons were born. Brother Wesley was a devoted husband to his wife and an excellent father to his sons.
