Wesley Merrill Horn Jr. “Juny”, age 65, of Nokesville, Virginia passed from this life unexpectedly on January 19, 2016, in Cape Canaveral, Florida. A cherished and loving man, Wesley is survived by his wife Patricia, his stepson Robert Frappier II of Roswell Georgia, his mother Anne Marie Horn of Manassas Park and three sisters; Marie Mansfield, Lynda Jackson, Karen Monger and 7 nieces; Christy Newman, Danyl Penn, Dionna Kiernan, Ashley Horn, Alexandra Horn, Demi Horn, Kasey Monger and 6 nephews; Ryan Mansfield, Ross Mansfield, Billy Noel, Kristopher Monger, Keaton Monger and Karson Monger. He was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Horn and brother Paul Horn and two nephews; Ritchie Mansfield and Bernie Noel. Wesley was born December 12, 1950 in Washington, D.C. Wesley was a 1969 graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School and earned his Bachelor’s degree from National Louis University. Wesley served his Nation in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. He launched a successful 28-year career with the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington DC as a project leader in the Division of Reserve Bank Operations and Payment Systems. Wesley’s love of the water included many years of boating and many vacations at Sandals Montego Bay where he pursued his passion of scuba diving and earned an Assistant PADI Instructor Certification. Wesley was widely known as a member of the Jamaica Sandals “MoBay Pirates” and proud of the group’s fundraising activities. Wesley was a member of the American Legion, Elks Club and Moose Lodge. Wesley retired in 2012 and with his wife, Pat, enjoyed the freedom of traveling between their Nokesville, Va. and Cape Canaveral, Fla homes. Wesley had a rich and deep love for life and people, with the unique and sincere quality of meeting strangers with the same respect of a friend. Whether having known Wesley for 5 minutes or 65 years, all have lost an ‘Old” Friend. Wesley never met a stranger. Wesley is remembered fondly for his commitment to doing the right thing, and his entertaining and colorful personality. His favorite quote says it all: “One day your life will flash before your eyes.
