Mr. Werner Erick Gerhard Frey Sr. of Senoia, Georgia, passed away November 16, 2014, at the age of 76 at his home. He was born December 27, 1937, in Elizabeth, New Jersey. After high school, he served in the U.S. Coast Guard from March 1956 to March 1962, leaving with an Honorable Medical Discharge. While on the Cutter Tamaroa, he assisted in the rescue of the Stockholm-Andrea Doria collision. After leaving the Coast Guard, he married the love of his life, Evelyn W. Werner, and they moved to Branchburg, New Jersey to raise a family. While operating several small businesses, he worked full time with Mac Trucks. In 1983, the family moved to Peachtree City, Georgia, where he worked for various motor home companies. During this time, they also opened the Toy n’ Hobby Hut in Fayetteville, Georgia and he was an actively involved member of Peachtree City United Methodist Church. In retirement, they moved to Senoia, Georgia. At this time, they found a new church home at Cornerstone United Methodist Church, where he has been an active member. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Evelyn, their 3 children, Donna (and Mark Barnett) of Senoia, Linda (and Charles Irby) of Louisville, Georgia, and Werner (and Jennifer) of Sharpsburg, his 10 grandchildren, Keith (and Nikki), PJ, Doug, Brianna (and Lawrence), Sean, Duran, Hannah, Zac, Caullin, Delaney and his 3 great grandchildren, Bree Ann, Sheli, and Reuben. He also leaves behind sisters, Ann Valsamis, Edith Sutyak, and brother, Walter Frey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Babette (Honig) Frey of Bricktown, New Jersey.
