Wendy Ann Householder, the daughter of Garryl “Louie” Clarence and Patricia Ann (Faith) Householder, was born on June 3, 1965 in Emmetsburg, Iowa. Wendy was baptized at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Whittemore and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lotts Creek. She graduated from Sentral of Fenton High School in 1983. She then graduated from LaJames College in Mason City. Wendy was married to Darin Rork on September 1, 1990 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lotts Creek. They were later divorced. She had worked as a hair stylist in Clear Lake. Wendy always had a smile and hi for everyone. She truly loved life. She was a resident of the Emmetsburg Care Center since she suffered from Alzheimer’s. Wendy was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed growing roses, her dog Annie, playing solitaire, reading, singing, riding her bike and volunteering at Handicap Village in Clear Lake.
Left to cherish Wendy’s memory are her children, Natalie who is a student at UNI and Ethan a Junior at Clear Lake High School; her parents, Louie and Pat Householder of Algona; a sister, Vickie Householder of Perry; a brother, Bruce (Jennifer) Householder of Ft. Drumm, NY; one niece; three nephews; an adopted grandmother, Alice Luedtke of Lone Rock; a mother-in-law, Carol Rork of Britt; and her beloved dog, Annie. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Everett and Violet Faith; grandparents, Carl and Lucille Olson; paternal grandparents, Glenn and Relzine Householder.
