Wayne L. Urbanski, 77, of Wethersfield died on Monday, Jan. 24, 2022. Wayne was the loving husband, best friend and “Honey” to his wonderful wife Theresa. They were always seen together. Wayne was born on July 15, 1944, at New Britain General Hospital, New Britain. He was the son of the late Lucian and Aldona Urbanski of Newington. He lived in Newington and graduated from Newington High School and Central Connecticut State University. Wayne was a proud U.S. Army veteran and served in Viet Nam. He was employed by the State of Connecticut for over 35 years as an was an avid sports fan and loved to golf. He enjoyed playing in many different leagues at Stanley, Rockledge, Goodwin and Tunxis golf courses. He was a member of the Wethersfield Democratic Town Committee, the Wethersfield/Rocky Hill Elks and a past member of the Polish American Club. Wayne lived a long and beautiful life. He was kind, thoughtful, generous, helpful, and tolerant of people who walked this earth. Wayne met his wife Theresa in 1989 and they fell in love instantly. They were engaged in November 1989 and married in 1990. Wayne lived with Theresa and her mother, who adored him and treated him like a son. Wayne loved his wife and treated her like a queen. He was always with her through thick and thin. He enjoyed everything she did for him, especially her Italian cooking and loved her to the end of the earth. Wayne leaves his wife Theresa, and cousins Mary Beth Marantz and husband Izzy, Daniel DeLucco and wife Laurie, Tommy DeLucco, III and wife Linda, Rosemary DeLucco Alpert, and many special friends and classmates.
