Wayne Charles Rose, age 79, of Heber Springs passed away Thursday,  October 25th, 2018. Born June 1st, 1939 in Kensett, Arkansas he was the son of the late Harry Alfred and Faye Robinson Rose. He was a US Navy veteran and also service several years in the Arkansas National Guard. He also served as a volunteer fireman, served on the Heber Springs City Council and was a member of the Optimist Club.  Mr. Wayne served as deacon at Tumbling Shoals Baptist Church. His occupation was working as a lineman for Entergy Electric Company.

He was devoted to God and his family. He loved the Razorbacks. His hobbies included taking photo’s and fishing.  

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, John Alfred, Harry Jr. and Johnny; three sisters, Doris Manning, Mary Katherine Burnett and Nellie Legate.

Survivors include his wife Louise Osburn Rose whom he married September 8, 1962; one daughter, Regina Jones and husband Doug of Vilonia, AR; three sons, Richard Rose and wife Dana of Heber Springs AR, Roger Rose and wife Gail of Heber Springs, AR and Rodney Rose and wife Angela of North Little Rock, Arkansas; twelve grandchildren, Tyler Lynch, Dustin Jones,  Payden Rose, Lauren Rose, Whitney Rose, Haley Rose, Derek Woodson, Bailey Woodson, Matt Woodson Cayd Williams, Addison Nicholson and Ally Nicholson; twelve great-grandchildren and many friends. Military Honors provided by: American Legion Saxton Willis Post #64 at Cleburne County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
