Wayne Charles Haessig, age 59, of Norwalk, died Friday, July 15, at the Norwalk Hospital. He was the husband of Joan Whaley Haessig. Wayne was born in Norwalk April 3, 1952, son of the late Charles and Josephine Berglung Haessig. He worked as a mason for the City of Norwalk.
Survivors also include a step-daughter, Shawn Mercurio of Norwalk, step-son Kipp Whaley of Placida, FL, brother Lyn Haessig of CO, a sister Jo Ann Bruce-Simon of Camden, ME, two grandchildren, Frankie and Jason Mercurio, and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by a brother, Lee Haessig.
