     Wayne A. Dangle, 67, of Williamsport, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017, at his home. Surviving is his wife,  Patricia A. (Shurer) Dangle, with whom they were married June 10, 2017.

     Born Aug. 12, 1949, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Earl James and Betty Jane (Fink) Dangle.

     Wayne was a 1967 graduate of Loyalsock Township High School where he was active in football, wrestling, tennis, track and baseball and a 1971 graduate of Juniata College. He received a bachelor of science degree from Williamsport’s Hospital School of Medical Technology, also received a degree as a medical technologist certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologist, and later his master’s degree in marketing and finance from the University of South Carolina. Throughout his college career he continued to be active in wresting and cross country running. 

     He began working at Williamsport Hospital as a third shift technologist, then went to Jersey Shore Hospital as laboratory manager and worked his way into other responsibilities such as, risk management and director of safety. He was then director of marketing and development for Muncy Valley Hospital. Following his employment at Muncy Valley Hospital he was the general manager, president, and owner of Brass Alignment, Inc. Brass Trailer Sales and partner and manager of Dangle Reality, LLC.

     Wayne was a member of Faxon Kenmar United Methodist Church.

     He sponsored the Community Arts Center, James V. Brown Library and Community Theater League. Wayne was a member of a local masonic lodge F& A.M., Williamsport Consistory, Shriners, Zafar Grotto and the former Ross Club. Wayne was a supporter of the World Wild Life Foundation, Olympics Committee, The Humane Society, Lycoming SPCA, James V.

     Wayne enjoyed physical activity, such as yard work, carpentry, electrical, heating and plumbing. He previously owned 11 rental properties that he maintained. He was past president and member of the Lycoming Yacht Club and enjoyed sailing the Chesapeake and the Caribbean with family and friends. During the summer Wayne enjoyed water skiing in Canada at a cottage on Loon Lake and during the winter season he enjoyed skiing in Colorado, Europe and locally. 

     Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Jason Earl Dangle and his fiancee, Jessica Farace, of Virginia; a sister, Shirley Anderson (Sam), of California; two nephews, Scott (Robin) and Mark Anderson and a grand-niece, Holly Anderson, all of California; and a brother-in-law, Ronald Shurer (Fabiola), of Washington.
