Wayman R. Watson, 93, of Comfort, Texas, died Monday, May 29, 2006, at his home in Comfort. Born January 14, 1913, in Prairie Valley, Texas, a small town in Hill County, Texas, Wayman was the second son of the late Henry and Bertha Lightfoot Watson. He lived in Hill County all of his life until 1988, when he and his wife moved to Comfort to be near their daughter. He retired from National Life and Accident Insurance Company, in 1978. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hillsboro, Texas, where he served as an usher and a Sunday School Teacher for many years. After moving to Comfort in 1989, he became a member of the First Baptist Church of Boerne. On February 5, 1943, he married Kathryn Pearl (Kay) Wainscott in Hillsboro, Texas. Preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Lyman Watson, Aaron Watson, Ney Watson, and Larry Watson, and one sister, Lorraine Blood, Mr. Watson is survived by his Wife, Kathryn Watson of Comfort; One Daughter, Paula Motley and her husband, Carlos W. Motley of Comfort; One sister, Mary Morton and her husband, Elwyn Morton of Lubbock; Two Granddaughters, Mrs. Allyn (Lori) Skeels of Comfort and Mrs. Rod (Kristen) Lovett of Cookeville, Tennessee; Four Great Grandchildren, Robyn and Lacy Skeels of Comfort and Meghan and Matt Lovett of Tennessee.
