Wayman was born to the late Carl and Dollie (Miller) Woodard on April 30, 1927, in Dunkirk, Indiana.  He attended Dunkirk Schools and graduated from the Jay County School Corporation.

Wayman served his country in the U.S. Army as a Private First Class with Company “C” of the 53rd Infantry Rifle Battalion during World War II.  After his discharge he worked and retired from the Borg Warner Corporation for 30 years as a machine operator.

He and Louise (Davis) Woodard were married on May 20, 1967, at the Madison St.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Woodard, of 47 years, two children, Peggy Anderson and Bruce Woodard (wife-Judy), both of Muncie; two grandchildren, Jason and Megan; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Don, Charles and Carl Jr.; one grandson, Brent Woodard.
