Warren “Nelson” Leeds, Jr of Beverly passed away suddenly on January 26, 2009 at the age of 60. He was called Nelson by everyone and was truly beloved by all who met him, family, friends, and community. Nelson loved his wife, children, grandchildren and his family on both sides, always putting them first. He always welcomed his children’s friends as his own into his family and home. Since 1964 he has been a dedicated member of the Beverly-Edgewater Par EMS, serving as Past President, Treasurer, and Trustee. He worked very hard to implement the plans needed to complete the new building for the emergency squad.
He was a charter member of the Beverly Athletic Club, who also played softball for the club and was known as a Class “A” player. He was a stellar employee for over 35 years at Edmar Restaurant Supply, Inc. in Burlington. Nelson loved spending time outdoors with his wife and family at their camper in the Pines, where he also liked to fish. He is survived by his loving wife Sherry (nee: Neamand) and their children BJ & Daisy Leeds, Tracey Leeds, April & Mark Kirschner, Christa & Jeffrey Weiler, his grandchildren Warren IV, Alex M., Brandon, Jacob, AJ, his siblings Diane, Pat, Don, David, Lori, Brian, his close uncles Butch and Kenny Horton, several brothers and sisters in law and many nieces and nephews.
