Warren Dennis Mitchell, 63, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016 in Providence, RI. Warren was born on October 28, 1952 in Providence, RI to Bishop Algie William Mitchell and the late Mrs. Algie Mae Mitchell. He was the husband of Rosemarie (Plummer) Mitchell.
Warren attended the Providence Public Schools and he also served honorably in the United States Marine.
Warren enjoyed driving, as he drove for various taxi cab companies and a car transporting company that delivered cars to and from Providence and various states. He was a jolly person and he loved laughter as he often told funny jokes. He also liked cooking; he was a great photographer and loved music. Warren was a member of his family group, Billy Mitchell and the Morning Starts, which was formed by their parents. Warren was one of the lead singers as well as the bass guitarist of this family group that consisted of his brothers and sisters. Warren was member of the Beloved Tabernacle Church under the leadership of Bishop Howard Oby, whom he loved dearly along with his late wife Mother Oby. At the time of Warren’s passing he was a member the now Beloved Tabernacle Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor James Keith and First Lady GeorgeAnne Keith whom he also loved very dearly.
Warren is survived by his wife Rosemarie Mitchell, his siblings William T. Mitchell, Shelia L. Hepburn, Suzie M. Clinton, Cora L. Smart, Calvin K. Mitchell and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
