Warren Benson Law, 93, of Lavallette, NJ passed away Friday, September 26, 2014, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick, NJ. Born, raised, and a longtime resident of Dunellen, NJ, Warren summered in Lavallette, NJ from 1923 until moving there permanently 30 years ago.

Warren was the owner and President of W.B. Law & Sons Coffee Co. for many years. The family company began in Dunellen, NJ, and moved to Newark, NJ as the company expanded. He was a US Navy WWII Veteran. Warren was active in many organizations during his lifetime. He served as Commodore of the Lavallette Yacht Club, where he was one of the oldest members. He was an avid Sailor, who won the Toms River Challenge Cup on the Cup’s 100th anniversary aboard his A Cat “The Mary Ann”. He served as President of the Newark Executive Association, served on the Board of Directors of Provident Bank, Jersey City, was Trustee of the First Presbyterian Church of Dunellen, Past President of the Friends of the Library of Dunellen, was a 58-year member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners and was a member of the Union Church of Lavallette. Warren was also an avid hunter, stamp collector, and duck carver.

He was predeceased by his two brothers, who were both killed in action during WWII, Stanley & Robert Law. Warren is survived by his wife of 55 years Doris (nee Boesser), 4 children Robert Law of Dunellen, NJ, Debra Mendez & her husband David of Hillsboro, NJ, Hilary Klimek & her husband Jim of Basking Ridge, NJ, and Richard Law & his wife Quy of Ridgewood, NJ, 8 grandchildren Jesse, Kevin, Kerrie, David, Kristen, Taylor, Dylan & Emily, and 5 great-grandchildren Jack, Paul, Anna Grace, John Paul & Benson.
