Warren Alva Klender, 92, left this world on May 10, 2019, peacefully in the company of his family. Warren was born in Bay City on September 20, 1926 to Alva and Irene Klender, he was one of five children.  He grew up and led a full life in Bay City.  He served in the U.S. Army, with the 82nd Airborne, an expert marksman. He married Norma Weaver and was the proud father of three sons, Jeff, Mark and David.  Warren and Norma were married 65 years.

Warren worked many jobs over his industrious life, a self-taught jack of all trades and a master of many. He was a master carpenter and skilled across most construction trades. He could design and build complex projects. His work ethic was an inspiration to his sons and all. He spend his last working years at Dow Chemical Company in Bay City, his favorite job.

Warren was independent, strong-headed and a man of many words. He loved building things, he could do anything he put his mind to. His greatest passion was the outdoors, hunting and fishing at every opportunity, with his young sons often in tow.  His favorite place was his beloved cabin in the woods of Gladwin County. He enjoyed camping and traveling throughout Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.  His other travels took him to California, Montana, and Alaska.  He cherished his wife and his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Warren was predeceased by his brother Roland and his sisters Bev and Jackie. He is survived by his brother Gary, his wife Norma, his three sons, and his seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He will be missed by all.
