Wanda L. Eversole, age 88, of Morehead, died peacefully at her home on May 27, 2021, after a long illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie and John “Hardy” Litteral; her only son, Gregory D. Eversole; and one grandchild, Dakota Miles Eversole.
Wanda is survived by lifelong companion and love of her life, David Daniels; sister, Juanita Bach; brother, Phillip (Anita) Litteral; daughter, Dr. Bridgette Coulter; grandchildren, Deanna Eversole, Elizabeth Eversole, John (Megan) Coulter, Carson Coulter; great grandchildren, Dillion and McKenzie Bills; and several nieces and nephews.
She also leaves behind her faithful and loving caregivers for the past three years: Theresa Burton, Pam Knipp, Jamie Plank, Sandy Potter, and Sharon Stafford.
Wanda was born May 5, 1933, and raised in Breathitt Co. She moved to Morehead in 1964, where her first job was at GTE as a telephone operator. After finishing her education at Morehead State, she began teaching at Farmers Elementary in 1970, where she taught seventh grade until the school closed. She then taught at Rowan County Middle School until she retired in 1998.
Wanda touched and influenced many lives in Morehead; she will be greatly missed.
