Walter S. Russell, age 74 of Columbus, passed away on Saturday December 10, 2016 at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton. Mr. Russell was born in Burlington and had most recently become a resident of Columbus. Walt had served his country in the U.S. Navy and made a career as a machinist.
At home Walt was a handy and talented wood worker. He loved to spend time on his boat fishing in Little Egg Harbor and was a former member of the Oneida Boat Club in Burlington. Walt enjoyed going to auctions and yard sales and will fondly be remembered as generous and kind. Mr. Russell is survived by his wife Eileen (nee Townsend) and is the father of Karen Ann Russell, Jackie & her late husband Edwin Bennett, Theresa & her husband Mike Cloutier and Walter Russell, III. Walt is the proud grandfather of 5, great grandfather of 2 and was predeceased by his great grandson the late David Conner.
Mr. Russell is also survived and will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews as well as his sister, Sister Margaret Russell, his brother Joseph & his wife Penny Russell and was predeceased by his sister, the late Mary Ann Alcott.
