Walter R. Bock, 77, of Granger, passed away Wednesday evening, June 28, 2017 at his home, in the arms of his loving wife.

Walter was born on August 14, 1939 in Chicago to the late Joseph M. and Mary (Radel) Bock.

He married Barbara J. Barnes on March 20, 1974 in Chicago.

Barbara survives, as well as daughters, Christine Morgan (David) Witek, Roberta Morgan (Marshall) Larson, Valerie (Donald) Seeger; 7 grandchildren Anil, Adrienne, Jennifer, Tommy, Nikole, Lila, Llewie; and four great grandchildren.

Walter was preceded in death by 2 half-brothers Frank Perrin, Baldwin Link and a half-sister Mary Perrin.

Walter graduated from Lane Technical High School in Chicago. He worked for many years as a design engineer in the plastics field, formerly working for South Bend Plastics, Baxter Travenol Laboratories (now Baxter International) and also worked for a time at the Duncan Parking Meter Company.

Walter served 10 years in the Illinois National Guard. He enjoyed raising tropical fish and making plastic and wood model cars and boats.
