My Dad, Walter P. Catterson passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015. He had a long and successful life. Growing up during the depression, he had very little. He served in the army during World War ll, achieving the rank of Captain.

After the war, with the help of the GI bill he graduated with a degree in Accounting from St. John’s University and went on to get his Masters from NYU. He passed the CPA exam on the first try and went on to have a successful career in business retiring as Vice President and Treasurer of a major corporation. A typical Irishman, he was a stubborn as they come.

He loved his whiskey and his golf, playing until he was 80. He used to tell me, Robert, ” I am not always right but I am never wrong”. He loved dancing with my mom, and I am sure he is dancing with her right now. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.
