Walter C. Bomhoff Jr., 78 of Mount Clare, WV passed away at his residence on Saturday, April 9th, 2016. He was born April, 26, 1937 in Pittsburgh, PA, son of the late Walter C. Bomhoff, Sr. and Anna Vaughn Bomhoff.
Walter is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Paula Yerkey Bomhoff; two cats, Allie and Mango; one sister, Barbara Dabney, Hayward CA; nieces and nephews, Christopher Wilcoxen and Talia, Daly City, CA, Virginia Gomez and Victor, Union City, CA, Stephanie Wilcoxen, Las Vegas, NV; sister-in-Law, Joyce Harris and Larry of Clarksburg, Mother-In-Law Betty J. Buckhannon of Clarksburg, WV; three cousins; Richard and Juliette D’Alessandro, Oxford, Ca, Daniel and Jeannie D’Alessandro, Pittsburgh, PA, William “Bill” Wade, Prairie Village, KS; several more nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two cats, Annie and Yogi.
Walter was a Mechanical/Planning Engineer for CNG Transmission Company for 33 years, having retired in 1995. He graduated from Ashland High School in 1955, and went on to attend the University of Kentucky, receiving his Mechanical Engineering Degree. He was a member of the Triangle Fraternity at the University of Kentucky. Walter was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Clarksburg, Toastmaster’s Club, Kiwanis Club, social member of Clarksburg VFW 573 and Pistol and Rifle Club of Salem, WV. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, WVU Sports and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Walter also enjoyed his music and loved animals.
