Walter A. Breidenbach passed away on April 23rd at the Sunrise Assisted Living Center, Chandler, AZ.
Walter is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Eula.
He is also survived by his son Dale (Kathy) ofFt. Collins, CO, grandson Jeff and granddaughter Kelli both of Denver, CO. He is also survived by his son Robert (Cecile) of Chandler, step granddaughters Jennifer and Jami of Delaware, and five step great grand children.
Walter was born in 1918 in Orange, NJ, grew up in New York City, and as a teenager moved to Miami, FL with his family.
Walter is a retired vice president of Eastern Air Lines. He joined Eastern in 1943 in the accounting department and retired 41 years later in 1983. He spent his entire career with Eastern in Miami. Walter was known as Mr. Volunteer while at Eastern for his work with the Boy Scouts, Kiwanis Club, and Doral Open golf tournament.
Walter and Eula moved to Fountain Hills, AZ, in 1985. They enjoyed playing golf and spending the summers in cooler places like Durango, CO, Park City, UT, and Waterville Valley, NH. Walter enjoyed investing in the stock market and watching all kinds of sports.
Everybody benefitted from Walter’s easy going style and sense of humor. He was intensely protective and proud of his family and will be missed greatly.
