Walter A. Murphy, 85, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully in his home in Coopersburg, on Sunday August 12, 2018. He was the husband of the late Loretta (Klotz) Murphy who passed away on July 5, 2005 and Joan Murphy-Berg of Coopersburg, with whom he shared 9 years of loving marriage. Born in New Jersey, he was the son of the late Walter and Edith (Whitall) Murphy. He honorably served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Walter worked as a truck driver for Chemical Leaman Tanklines for 30 years, where he logged close to 1 million miles. He was a member of Steel City Mennonite Church. Walter was an avid fisherman and billiard player, and also enjoyed playing baseball and softball.

SURVIVORS: In addition to his loving wife Joan; daughters Tracy Graser-Snyder and husband James of Bethlehem, Karen Erney and husband Kenneth of Walker, IA; sons Brian Murphy-Wolfinger and husband Charles of Bethlehem, Michael Murphy and wife Mary of Gloucester, NJ; brother Robert Murphy of Williamstown, NJ; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
