Wallace Timothy Grube, of Coventry, CT. On January 25, 2016, Wally died at the age of 67 after a courageous battle with cancer, at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. He was born on July 16, 1948 to Wallace and Augusta (Korn) Grube in Manchester, CT. Known as “Wally” to most he was “Timmy” to his parents and his siblings. Wally graduated from Manchester High School in 1966 and from Heidelberg College in Ohio in 1970. In 1972, he earned his masters’ degree at the University of Vermont, where he met his first wife and developed his lifelong love of farming. He returned to Connecticut in 1986, and shortly thereafter he met and married Frances Rumm. They moved to a farm in Coventry, where they have kept each other out of trouble for 30 years. Wally loved life. He loved children, and was a thoughtful and generous father and grandfather. He was a good listener; patient and kind. He enjoyed good food and was an avid home brewer and bread baker. He loved listening to his music and watching movies, and liked gadgets and games. He had an unparalleled sense of style; he never met a bright color or a t-shirt that he didn’t like. He liked to travel, but even more, he loved staying home and being on his farm.
