Wallace B. Watson (Wally), 92, passed away Friday April 28, 2017, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Boise due to heart failure.
Wally was born October 24, 1924 in Smithville Oklahoma., to Calvin and Addie Watson and was honored to be the son of one of the original enrollees of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
Wally moved to Idaho City, Idaho in 1945 where other family members lived. He met the love of his life, LaVon E. Finch. They were married in 1948 at Idaho City, Idaho. A daughter and son were born during the six years they lived in Idaho City. Wally and LaVon moved to Boise for 11 years before moving to Meridian, Idaho where they farmed for 25 years. During that time, they lived on the farm, Wally worked as a Superintendent at a local sawmill. After retiring from the sawmill and farming, Wally and Lavon moved back to Boise where they have resided for the last 32 years.
Wally is survived by his wife of 68 years Lavon; a daughter Bonnie Cravens (Denton Fuehrer) and son Ron Watson (Bridget Watson) of Meridian. Grandkids are Wallace (Wally) Birch (Gina Birch) of Meridian; Jaime Roduner (Thad Roduner) of Meridian and Brent Watson (Becca Watson) of Caldwell. Great-grandkids are Jace Birch Ward of Filer, Ben Roduner of Meridian and Henry and Jack Watson Caldwell and a very special sister-in-law Myrna Finch and her family.
Wally was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sisters.
The family wants to thank all the Doctors and Nurses that took care of Wally during his last days at St Luke’s Hospital in Boise. They became part of our family and helped us through a very difficult time.
